More About My Story
I am Amber Martenson, a 26 year old, living in central Iowa! I was a K-4 Art teacher before becoming the owner of Winning Spark Branding. I launched and grew my business into my (almost) full time job within three months.
A Bit More About Me
Going Back to the Beginning
I started pageants with a small system in 2019, when I was 19 years old, and immediately was hooked! I have been an artist ever since I can remember and learned almost all my knowledge of graphic design while in college, where I actually majored in K-12 Art Education. I then was a teacher in K-4 Art for 3 years, which is what inspired my platform, The Joy of Art. I decided I no longer wanted to be burnt out! So, I started Winning Spark Branding. As someone who has grown a couple thriving businesses, I have the expertise to bring your brand to life!
Throughout my time in pageantry, I grew my knowledge about what it took to stand out. There are so many amazing women in pageantry, that sometimes it feels like you can be overlooked. It took me 4 years of guessing, before I finally realized how important branding was in pageantry. After deciding to rebrand my platform, The Joy of Art, into a full brand and not just a jumbled up concept - my platform went from impacting a couple hundred, to thousands; raising thousands of dollars; and turned The Joy of Art into an official 501(c)(3) organization.
I then learned about the importance of standing out and showing up with your brand in person at pageants. I painted my own interview shoes, which was something I had never seen anyone do in pageantry, and changed my trajectory.
With branding my platform both online and in person, I went from never placing in a top group at all, to becoming 1st runner up and 3rd runner up to international titles.
